Simgma announced neue Z-Wave-Chips (700er Serie) - wesentliche Neuerungen:

  • weniger Batteriverbrauch - bis zu 10 Jahre mit kleineren Batterien
  • Smart Start (Pre-Konfiguration)
  • Bessere Reichweite
  • Bessere Performance

SmartStart is an easy way to automatically create and configure Z-Wave networks for instant device installation success. Comprising the new Z-Wave protocol and gateway software layers, SmartStart pre-configures devices to the network before they reach the home, dramatically reducing
installation time, and thereby costs, to maximize return on investment (ROI) for installers and remove difficulty of DIY installations for homeowners.

Letztes Jahr kam sie am 24.01. - ich würde mal davon ausgehen, dass es dieses Mal wieder ähnlich sein wird.

Man darf gespannt sein:

Ob damit Z-Wave vielleicht wieder ein bisschen Schwung bekommt? In letzter Zeit holte ZigBee ja mächtig auf. Finde aber Z-Wave das technisch bessere Protokoll.
