"App update necessary" but update not available

My Homee app constantly gives me the following notification:

„App update necessary. Your homee app is not compatible with this app. Please update your app.“.

However, when pressing „open the app store“, the app seems to be up to date (no update available in the app store). I can press cancel and control my device, but getting this notification every time I open the app, is pretty annoying.

Versions:
Core Version: 2.41.0 (54f2828f)
iOS App Version: 2.40.1 (8074)
Hormann BiSecure Cube firmware version: EE002224-00.ao

I already tried:

  • Uninstall and reinstall the homee app
  • Install the Hormann homee app.

Nothing seems to work. Also, my partner has the same problem on his iPhone, so it is not my iPhone specific.

Any thoughts?

Well, you actively decided to use the beta core version.
Though it is indeed annoying to click (and ignore) the message, it can be a part of the beta version experience :wink:

@Wildsparrow Wait… you might gave me the solution, hahaha. Because I was not aware that I activated beta. Question is: how can I go back to the stable version? :laughing:

You could downgrade by a USB „update“ (www.hom.ee - on the bottom of the page „releases“)… or switch to the stable channel and wait for the next release of the stable version.
The current beta version includes an update for AVM Fritz! devices. If you have those in operation, I would propose to stay on the beta version and ignore the pop up till the next stable version is released.
